Messaging channels
Your own mailbox, answered by your mate — replies threaded, drafts you approve, invites you send, and your team one click away.
01What it does
Your support address, or your own mailbox, read and answered
Every workspace gets a support address your mate answers from. Connect the mailbox customers already write to as well — Gmail and Microsoft 365 through a hosted sign-in, or any other mailbox over IMAP with an app password — and your mate reads what arrives, answers in the same thread from that address, and works beside you in the Inbox as a mail copilot: it summarizes, drafts, translates, forwards and sends calendar invites, and nothing is sent without your confirmation. Mailboxes run on our EmailEngine server unless you bring your own: point your workspace at your own EmailEngine and your mail stays on a server you control.
02How to switch it on
Publish the support address for your workspace, or connect your own mailbox from the Console with the hosted sign-in.
Your mate reads each new email, answers from that same address, and keeps everything in one thread in the Inbox.
Choose how much of a customer's earlier mail your mate may use, and which copilot actions it may take; a teammate can take over any thread.
03What it needs
A hosted sign-in for a Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mailbox, or an IMAP server, user name and app password for any other. Two current limits: a personal Gmail account connects over IMAP with an app password until Google's review of the sign-in completes, and personal Outlook.com mailboxes are not available yet. To run it on your own EmailEngine: version 2.72 or newer at a public https address, an instance-level API token, and your own EmailEngine licence.

04Questions
- Ready today: connect your own mailbox with a hosted sign-in, or use your workspace's support address. Personal Gmail is IMAP-only until Google's review completes, personal Outlook.com isn't supported yet, and a reply from the support address may take a moment to land on strict inboxes. Your own EmailEngine server is supported too, on every plan.
- It says so and hands the conversation to a person on your team, who picks it up from the Inbox with the full history — the customer stays on the channel they wrote on.
