Messaging channels

Microsoft Teams

Your mate inside Microsoft Teams — answers staff and customers in a chat or a channel.

This connection is on the way

It is not something you can switch on yet. Here is what it will do and how it will be set up, so you know what to expect.

01What it does

Answers in a Teams chat or channel, hand-off included

Register your own Azure Bot, connect its app id and client secret in Console → Connections → Teams, and point its messaging endpoint at your mate. The setup is ready end to end; we are finishing the last checks before it opens.

02See it in place

Try it on a real site before you connect it

The channel itself is still being built — the demo previews the experience on a real invented brand.

Bramble & Co.

An HR and benefits desk answered in a Teams-style chat pane: grounded handbook answers, an MCP server over benefits and payroll, WebMCP page actions, and identified leave balances.

03How to switch it on

  1. In the Azure Portal, register an Azure Bot, add the Microsoft Teams channel, and set its messaging endpoint to the address Console shows you.

  2. Copy the bot's Microsoft App ID and generate a client secret, then paste both into Console → Connections → Teams.

  3. Choose personal chats, team channels, or both — then sideload the Teams app into your organisation to reach it from Teams itself.

04What it needs

An Azure Bot registration (bring your own Azure subscription), its app id and client secret, and the scope you pick.
